Now, Budget-conscious buyers who hesitate at the prices for the Samsung Galaxy Tab may find just what they’re looking for from Walgreen’s. The drug chain is now offering a 7” Android tablet for $99.

The Maylong 7-inch M-150 WiFi Middie Universe Tablet is now for sale on the Walgreen’s site for $99, down from the regular price if $129.99. For that low price, buyers get a 12 oz. device packing an ARM9 (VM8505+) 400Mhz processor, 256MB of RAM, touchscreen, built-in flash memory, 800 x 480 pixel resolution, 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi connectivity, built-in speakers, a T-Flash card slot, a built-in Li-Polymer battery, stylus, and dongle for RJ-45 network, and USB connection.

The tablet has also the regular feature like which provide the users to browse the internet, get e-mail, play games, listen to music, watch videos, view photos, and read e-books. What they don’t get is 3G, because the Maylong tab runs on the old Android 1.6 operating system. Also missing is a camera

Lastly, the quality is yet to be seen, but early reviews are positive. If the tablet market is overtaken by lowball devices, this could spell very bad news for the tech giants now planning higher-priced Android tabs in the next few months.
